Nuaire Drimaster PIV

Positive Input Ventilation (PIV)

Invented by Nuaire (PIV) in the 1970s, this enduring ventilation strategy has since become an industry staple. Nuaire’s market-leading Drimaster-Eco Positive Input Ventilation, or PIV, range is trusted by Social Housing providers, New Build developers, and and Private Landlords as a cost-effective, whole-house system that prevents condensation and black mould from damaging homes and the health of occupants.

Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) is the most effective method of curing and preventing condensation dampness. Essentially the concept is to introduce fresh, filtered air into the dwelling at a continuous rate, encouraging movement of air from inside to outside. To achieve this, the unit is mounted in the loft space, drawing air through the filters and inputting it, at ceiling level, into the property. An integrated heater tempers airflow should the temperature in the loft space drop below a set point, ensuring ultimate comfort in the home.

Nuaire Drimaster PIV is a whole house air ventilation system that works by drawing in fresh, filtered air into a property from outside. These can be either installed in a loft space or on a wall in a flat or apartment. They ensure that a continuous supply of air is supplied into the home to eliminate or significantly reduce condensation.

PIV systems create fresh and healthy living environments by supplying fresh, filtered air into a property at a continuous rate throughout a property and is our most popular method of whole house ventilation. Energy recovery ventilation systems provide a controlled way of ventilating a home while minimising energy loss. They reduce the costs of heating ventilated air in the winter by transferring heat from the warm inside exhaust air to the fresh (but cold) outside supply air.

Are Nuaire Drimaster PIV Units Noisy?

All Nuaire Drimaster PIVS units are designed to perform with extremely low noise levels, always ensuring the best level of whole house air ventilation is maintained.

How Effective Are Nuaire Drimaster PIV Units?

Nuaire Drimaster PIV is a whole-house form of air ventilation which is designed to supply fresh air to the whole property. In some cases, where there is a remote wet room (kitchen, ensuite, bathroom, WC or utility room) we also advise fitting extractor fans.

The units are either situated in the loft in a house, or on a wall in an apartment to deliver whole house ventilation. They operate quietly in the background, eliminating condensation and preventing mould whilst maintaining healthy indoor air. All of our PIV units are fitted with an ultra-low watt motor to ensure minimum energy consumption.
